| Counselling times and fees
Counselling sessions are available Monday to Friday from 9am to 9pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 9am - 2pm (Melton only). Counselling sessions are usually for one hour. Counselling is available in Glen Iris, Northcote and Melton.
Counselling fees:
Reconnexion charges a modest fee for counselling. Medicare rebates are available for counselling with a psychologist for up to 12 sessions per calendar year, with a referral and a mental health care plan from your GP. The Medicare rebate covers between 70% and 80% of the fee. Special consideration is given for people in financial difficulty.
Medicare rebates are also available for an additional 12 group sessions, each calendar year, run by psychologists or social workers. To obtain the rebate, a referral to the group and mental health care plan from your GP is required.
Reconnexion also has a concession fee for eligible clients who are not accessing the Medicare rebate.
