Who can become a volunteer
Reconnexion volunteers come from diverse backgrounds. For example they may have been dependent on benzodiazepines themselves, recovered from an anxiety disorder or depression, have a family member with an anxiety disorder, be a health practitioner or a student with an interest in benzodiazepines, anxiety disorders or depression.
Reconnexion volunteers are men and women ranging in age from 21 years to 80 years. They have a breadth of personal experience, are empathetic, non-judgemental and good listeners. They also believe in the prospects of rehabilitation and recovery.
Reconnexion volunteers need to be able to commit to a full day per week for at least one year after completion of their training
